Course Information
Course Map

The 5K Course is a 3.10 mile course around the Wilmington Riverfront.  The 5K participants will pass a water stop during the run.   Course Marshals will also be placed along the course to cheer on the girls and 5K participants.  Cheer signs will be lined along the course.

Packet Pick-Up

The Delaware Running Company Greenville location will have packet pick up on Friday the 19th from noon-5pm.  The Girls on the Run participants will receive their race bib on race day at their team meeting area.  The girls wear their season shirt on raceday.  All other runners,  including running buddies will be able to pick up bibs and race shirts in advance.   Day of registration is available.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long will the 5k run take?

Finishing times vary of course, but our fastest runners will complete the run in about 25 minutes. Most runners will fall between 30-45 minutes We will be sweeping the course at one hour from the starting time to ensure all runners have returned to the starting area.

Is there first aid available?

Water will be available at the start. EMT will be available on the course. Runners are also encouraged to bring water bottles along on the course. Additional water and snacks will be available at the finish line. Each team has a CPR certified coach in attendance.

DAY OF REGISTRATION AVAILABLE

Our online registration is now closed. Day of Registration is available for $30.00 tee shirts included, until we run out. Registration tent opens 1 hour prior to the race start

Where should I park?

Event parking is located next to the race start and finish gathering area. The race area is located near Frawley Stadium and Chase Center. We have moved from the Dravo Plaza area.

Can I bring my dog or pet?

For safety, all furry friends are not allowed on the course or at the event, so please leave all pets at home on 5K day! All pets will be asked to return to the pet owner's vehicle if spotted at the event.

This event would not be possible without the help of amazing volunteers who believe in our mission and show up to support our girls. Over 100 volunteers are needed to put on our best 5K yet! Whatever your special skills and talents, we have a role for everyone.

OPPORTUNITIES
Registration

Volunteers will help with 5K registration, assisting pre-registered runners and event day runners. Approximate arrival time 5:30 a.m. Time commitment is 4 to 5 hours. This volunteer opportunity is best suited for individuals over 18 years of age.

Operations

Volunteers will help with logistics and operations. Potential responsibilities include: parking attendants, helping to distribute water to runners, assisting runners at the start line and on the course. Approximate time of arrival is 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. Time commitment is 4 to 6 hours. These volunteer opportunities are best suited for adults, older teens and adult groups.

Hospitality

Volunteers will help greet buses upon arrival and assist coaches with their 5K materials. Assistance will also be needed with runner refreshments and medal distribution at the finish line, and at the information and merchandise tents. Approximate time of arrival is 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. Time commitment is 4 to 6 hours. This volunteer opportunity is best suited for individuals over 18 years of age.
